Guild Wars Comic

Right, this was fun. A problem with Guild Wars, I find, is that people always expect a monk to *heal* instead of kick butt. Its really annoying, actually, so I dont play in teams with other people much, I usually have NPC's come with me on missions. But its a shame, really, a waste of a perfectly strong character with smiting prayers and stuff, and they have to be the medecine box of the group!!

Not many people have monks, actually, which is another thing. Monks are rare, and when you see them, theyre almost always a Monk/Warrior player. Why? I'm not entirely sure. I find that being a Monk/Necromancer is actually quite useful. But since monks are in such high demand, its easy, if you want to, to get a good team or guild to accept you. In fact, the guild I was in (but am no longer in) once said that they would go monk hunting, and stick them in bags. I was happy that he wasnt the one to recruit me...

And for all the good I say about monks, it actually is better and more useful to have an Elementalist/Monk healer, since they can get more spells out without having to wait for your mana to recharge--elementalists have the most mana, and it only grows. And if you dont wanna be an elementalist, then be a Mesmer/Monk, so you can get your prayers out faster. I mean, the healing prayers wont be as strong for either, but they'll still be more than adequate, and monks are very easy to kill; hard to keep alive. No defense at all.
